Exam Structure: MAT and SAT Pattern
Selection for the scholarship is based on a two-part written examination. The test comprises the Mental Ability Test (MAT) and the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT), with each paper carrying 90 marks. To qualify for the NMMS, candidates must score a minimum of 40% aggregate marks in both tests (32% for SC/ST/PwD candidates).

The Directorate of Secondary Education (DSE), Assam, has confirmed the NMMS Examination 2025 date as November 15, 2025.
